Version 1.4.1

New features

User-controlled configuration pull

  • Added option to pull configuration from the Base Station into LinkDesk during the matching process
Reordering mobile devices in production view
  • The order of mobile devices can now be rearranged and will persist across sessions.
Enhanced audio group management in Routing Editor matrix
  • To streamline workflows and optimize RF capacity, we’ve introduced several usability improvements to the Routing Editor matrix:
    • mobile devices can now be added to or removed from audio groups directly within the matrix interface—no need to navigate away
    • when removing devices from groups, the system automatically checks RF capacity to maintain stability and prevent overload
    • audio groups can be merged seamlessly, simplifying management and reducing configuration time
Additional device properties have been added to improve visibility and control
  • RF Scan/ DAD: the resolutional bandwidth and sweep time can be adapted via the context tray of the scan per scanning DAD
  • Base Station & RF channel:
    • The basic interference information has been added
    • The RF AT STARTUP function now enables users to choose whether the channel should start in a muted, unmuted, or last status state
  • Mobile device:
    • The basic interference information has been added
    • New features (Cable Emulation & Test Tone) have been implemented
  • Additional links to the local WebUI instance have been implemented for easy navigation and quick accessibility.
  • The "Unpair" and "Remove" steps for MDs in LinkDesk, accessed through the three-dot menu, have been updated to include an additional security step.

Bug fix

  • Several bug fixes and optimizations

Known issues

Installation
  • Information for beta testers:

If you had a previous version of LinkDesk installed: due to improvements in the database migration, your existing databases will not be automatically imported.

Device connection - Base Station recovery

  • After a factory reset, failed firmware update or when being in use by another production, the Base Station cannot be reloaded or claimed using the "Reload" button on its device card. To restore the connection, please use the Device Sync toggle instead.
Device synchronization
  • If the mobile devices in a production are no longer paired with the Base Station, they will be removed from the production. You will need to re-pair and re-configure them.
  • If the network settings (IP address) of a Base Station in a production are changed, it cannot be synced again and will remain disconnected as long as the IP address differs from that stored in the production.
Workaround: update the IP address on the Base Station to match the one stored in LinkDesk, then sync again.
  • In rare cases, pushing the configuration to the Base Station may fail.
Workaround: Add the affected Base Station to a new production setup, select "Reset Configuration", and then re-sync it to the intended production.
  • Existing devices (Base Station and mobile devices) in a production cannot be swapped with other or new devices at this time.
  • In rare cases, antennas may not be detected after triggering the device synchronization process. Re-triggering the process can resolve the issue.
  • In rare cases, device synchronization process might be triggered randomly.
  • In rare cases, on extensive usage or heavy data load, LinkDesk might shortly disconnect from the Base Station.
  • When having many devices in a production, some of them can still be shown as connected even though the production is offline
Pairing
  • In rare instances, pairing may result in duplicate mobile device cards appearing.
Workaround: to resolve this, toggle the device sync button off and then on again.
FW update
  • In some cases, not all mobile devices may be visible during a firmware update.
  • Please avoid locking your PC during the firmware update, as it may cause the process to stop.
Base Station states
  • As part of ongoing development, the Standby state of the Base Station is not yet visualized in LinkDesk. In order to wake up the Base Station, please press the button directly on the device.
Frequency Scan
  • In some cases, when having multiple antennas in scan overload their reference level properties can get mixed up.
Dante® audio interface status
  • When the Dante® Primary Control cable is disconnected from the Base Station, the system may incorrectly display a ‘Connected’ status.
Workaround: if you experience issues with Dante®, please use the Spectera WebUI to check the system status and settings.

Mobile device

  • In some cases with < 100 mobile devices in a production, some mobile devices are shown online when the Device Sync Toogle goes to Off.

Routing Editor

  • As part of ongoing development, routing deletion is currently only possible by resetting the Audio Link Mode. Before performing a reset, please ensure that individual SEKs are removed from any group to avoid unintended changes.
  • When being close to the capacity maximum of the RF Channel and then moving an mobile device out of a group, there is no proper notification for "not enough capacity left".
