FAQ
The most frequent questions and answers summarized in a chapter.
Which devices will be supported?
At launch in 2026, DeviceHub will support the TeamConnect Bar S/M. Further hardware compatibility will follow throughout 2026.
How long will Control Cockpit be available?
Control Cockpit will continue to be available and supported for existing Sennheiser devices.
As Sennheiser evolves its device management portfolio toward cloud-based solutions, Control Cockpit will remain in place for configuration and monitoring of supported devices while this transition is underway. Ongoing support includes maintenance and critical security updates.
New device management capabilities will be delivered through cloud-based platforms as they become available.
Can I use Control Cockpit and DeviceHub in parallel with the same device, or switch back to Control Cockpit after trying DeviceHub?
Yes. After updating the firmware, a device can be managed via DeviceHub (using the cloud application and Local Web UI) while remaining compatible with Control Cockpit. Switching back to Control Cockpit is also possible. However, using a single management solution at a time is recommended to maintain clear workflows and avoid potential confusion.
Where is cloud-based data hosted and stored?
DeviceHub is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Private data is stored in European Microsoft Azure data centers in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2.
How much will the new cloud platform cost?
DeviceHub is free to use.
Is DeviceHub available in languages other than English?
DeviceHub is available in English at launch. Support for additional languages is not included at this time.
Are there any countries where DeviceHub is not available?
DeviceHub is available globally, except in Russia, Belarus, North Korea, and China. In China, customers can use the Local Web UI and the 3rd Party device API.
What device should I use to run the application?
DeviceHub is designed for use on a desktop or laptop computer. Mobile devices and touchscreens are not currently supported. The minimum supported screen resolution is 1280 × 982 to ensure the interface displays correctly.
Will there be an on-premises version?
No. DeviceHub is a cloud-only solution and is not offered as an on-premises deployment.
What if a customer does not want to use a cloud solution?
Supported devices offer a built-in Local Web UI for on-device configuration without installing software.
For supported devices, Control Cockpit can also be used for local device configuration and monitoring. In addition, the 3rd Party device API enables integration into custom or existing 3rd Party monitoring systems.
Will it support Alliance products via API integration?
DeviceHub is designed exclusively for managing and monitoring Sennheiser devices. Alliance products are not currently supported.
Why are some features not yet available?
DeviceHub is in public beta and has been intentionally designed to start simple and grow fast. Frequent updates and an iterative development approach ensure the platform continues to expand in line with customer needs and real-world workflows.
