Longer cable distances are possible with the use of fiber optic cables and media converters.

Sennheiser tested the recommend converters for a complete distance of 4 km (157480.31").

We only recommend the following converters for fully tested functionality:

It is mandatory to use the media converters in pairs.

Lantronix M/GE-PSW-PSE-01 (with PoE for DAD) or
Lantronix M/GE-T-SFP-01 (needs a Class 2 PoE injector capable of supplying powering to the DAD (power consumption < 6.5 W)) or
ProLabs 10/100/1000Base-TX(RJ-45) to Open SFP Port POE+ Media Converter (C-GMC-SFP-POE+, with PoE for DAD)

The media converter must not have a switch function.
